Tuesday, Aug. 23 is the last day to cast a ballot in Florida's primary races. Voters registered with a major political party will choose among candidates for statewide office, including the Democratic race for governor between Charlie Crist and Nikki Fried and the Republican race for agriculture commissioner between James Shaw and Wilton Simpson.
There also will be a slew of nonpartisan contests across the state, such as local school board, county commission, judicial and other seats.
In the weeks leading up to the primary, City & State Florida reporter Tristan Wood previewed the most noteworthy races on the primary ballot. Links to those stories are assembled below as a last minute resource for all those voting today, as is our endorsement tracker for Crist and Fried.
